At an early age I was taught you can work for some body or you can have somebody work for you, which is it you prefer to do? So I always wanted to start my own business and never have to say yes sir to anyone, not even my customers.
I decided to start several online businesses that sell different types of merchandise thru affilate stores online. And I have done pretty well over the last couple of years, driving traffic to various places and making commissions on everything they buy.
The main thing I learned from my online business is to have a cheaper produt than your competition, and a better looking website then my competition. If you have these two things, then your online business will be a success. If you do not have these two things, then be prepared to not make very many sales online.
The reason being people can type in the product online after finding it your store and find someone else who has it for a cheaper price, and leave your store and buy it from there. At a retail store, you are sometimes lucky to find the product there at all in stock and it could be several miles to the next store, but online all that has changed because either UPS or FED Ex are going to deliver it most of the time. If you own a store online, do the same with all your products. Check and see what your competition has it for sale at, and beat that price.
