As I was surfing around today I noticed a story about Apple is going to release a new version of the I-Pod. Is this because the old version does not work or is Apple just trying to get more money out of the same customers with a new spiffy I-Pod? I tend to lean towards the later but to give Apple room to convince me I will wait till the announce the new I-Pod and see what it has to offer. I am not in the market for a I_Pod new or old my car stereo and the songs I have downloaded to my computer work just fine for me, and add in that I have never been a fan of change for change sake I will not be in the market for a I-Pod at any stage but a lot of people will be.
Having about worn out my old computer I will need to get a new computer this weekend. I am torn between my old PC and getting a new Mac, I think a Mac will do everything I need and the support staff is much better at MacIntosh, I keep getting the run around at Dell when I call with trouble. They almost act like they have gotten their money out of me and want me to buy something else this time, and do not think I will not do it. I spend my money very wisely and do not make the same mistakes twice. It sure looks likely that I will be going down a dark path at least for me and will be purchasing me a Mac this time.
My teen age son has decided to undertake a new project, he is building a computer from the ground up. I am not sure I would want to fight this battle but he thinks it will be fun, and at his age that is half the battle. He is getting the kit to build this computer from Easy AS My PC the kit comes with easy to read instructions and all you need is a screwdriver. If this kit is an easy way to build a computer, I think I will try it myself, it looks so very easy. Check out the web site at http://www.easyasmypc.com if you want to build your own computer or if you simply want to upgrade your existing computer they can assist you there too.
I have used a Hewlett-Packard 1020 printer since they came on the market several years ago. Much to my dismay I found out today that they have discontinued making this fine printer. I am not sure what I will do when mine wears out, I like the way it works it is pretty efficient on ink, the ink cartridges are a bit expensive but by getting them refilled it is not so bad. It never fails I start to like a product and it is discontinued.
What is that weekly chore you hate to do? If you ask 100 people what their top hate to do chore was, and I bet the number one answer is “taking out the trash”. And I bet that another answer in the top 5 would be “backing up my computer files.”
Well, if you find the right backup service and set it up right, backing up your computer files can be easy and fast, and not nearly as bad as doing trash duties.
Online Storage and backup is one of the safest and easiest ways to protect all that data on your computer. You just spend a few minutes setting it up, and even that is easy to do.
Find an online service like IBackup. With IBackup, you make a folder on your desktop and then you drag and drop the files or folders that you want to back up. If you can drag and drop using Windows Explorer, then you can do a backup on IBackup. Or you can set it up to automatically do the backup and send you an email to confirm that it was done.
How easy is that? Very. Add the fact that you can do backup on Iphones and on your Mac computer makes this that much easier to add to your daily duties. Find the site for your mac computer here at http://www.ibackup.com/ibackup-for-mac.
If you don’t have a backup process in place and in use, add IBackup to your computer and do away with the problems associated with not having your system backed up.
