The Tennessee Titans play this week on Monday Night Football and we have tickets to the game. I love to watch us play the Colts anytime and especially on Monday Night Football when the team has the main stage and the world can watch us kick the Colts back to Indy where they belong. The traffic will be horrific and I am thinking of taking the train to the game and back, they run the train for special occasions and not many are as special as Monday Night Football, I wish they ran the trains to the Predator games that would save me a mint on parking fees. Go Titans!

For my in-laws wedding anniversary we are trying to come up with a unique gift idea. It’s not one of the landmark anniversaries, like silver or golden, but they’ve been together longer than any other married couple that I know.

I think they would like something sentimental and have suggested a digital photo frame. If we find a nice digital frame, we can preload it with pictures from each of the brothers and sisters and maybe a couple of the wedding photos of the in-laws, too. That would be a memory book brought into the digital age and I think they would like something like that.

The best thing is that the digital frame can be bought online and shipped to one of the siblings homes, and we can either pass it around to load our family’s photos into it or one of the brothers and sisters can take on the task and we’ll email our photos to him or her. I think I have a few photos of the family on my hard drive that would be perfect for this project. If I can find a few more prints in my old photo albums and scrap books, I can scan them in and share them with everyone.

One thing I didn’t realize about the digital photo frames is that you can upload MP3 files to the frame as well as photos. So now I want to think of a good soundtrack to play along with the display of family photos. This project might take some time but it will be really nice when we have all contributed and made it a truly personal gift.

Every year we take a trip to the best city in the world, Chicago. We always take in a baseball game at Wrigley Field, and always take a limo tour of the city to see the lights, sounds and smells of this great city. Last year we took a stretch limo around the city, and it was the best ride I have ever taken, this year we are going to take a town car on our travels around Chicago. This year we are going to make stops at the Navy Pier and the Lincoln Park Zoo, these are two site I have always wanted to see while in Chicago. The Art Institute is also high on my wifes list, I am not sure we will make it there this year but it will be high on our list for next year.

Now is the quiet time before football season starts the teams are in training camp getting ready for the season. The players have left their homes and headed to the cities they play for and are preparing to sweat and get ready for the upcoming season. The local team here the Titians started training camp on Friday and are getting ready for what the players, coaches and fans hope is a great season, season three of the Vince Young era. In just about six weeks the season starts for real and I for one can not wait for it to get going.

Every year on Halloween our whole family goes all out, we decorate the house and yard and even the adults get dressed up in costumes and we all go out trick or treating as a group, it is a lot of fun and we get to watch our kids have fun too, and the kids stay safe.
