I have to go out and brave the cold and the crowds to finish my Christmas shopping today. I have to work every day right up till Christmas and today will be my only chance to get away and buy the few gifts I have left to purchase. I hate to wait till the last minute because the crowds get nastier and meaner the closer to Christmas you get. I mean on Black Friday they killed a security guard in a Wal-Mart, what is it going to be like the closer we get to Christmas?
Today is a huge game in this great season the Tennessee Titans are putting together. They go after win number 10 in a row to start a season. The previous record for the franchise was 3 in a row to start a season. I wonder if the 72 dolphins are worried yet? Maybe after the game today they will start to worry. Today the Jacksonville Jaguars are the next victim and I can not wait to get this game in the books this team worries me a bit this may be the toughest game left for the Titans to finish 16-0. I guess the second Indy game will be a ball buster too and I can not wait to get another chunk of Peyton Manning I think he is a chump and love when his team loses. GO TITANS!
Tuesday is election day and I for one think that history will be made on Tuesday. I just do not see any way possible that John McCain will come back to win this election. I am not a supporter of either candidate and I fear for our country if Obama wins. Where is Ross Perot when we need him. I think T Boone Pickens would be a better President than either of the ones running. It will be very interesting on Tuesday for sure.
The third week of the football season is upon us already and several team have found themselves with out their quarterbacks, some for the rest of the season some just for 1-2 weeks. The highest profile quarterback to be injured for the season is New England’s Tom Brady who injured his knee in the first week of the season and is lost to the Patriots for the remainder of the season. Here in Nashville we lost Vince Young to a knee injury right after he quit on the team in game 1 and back up Kerry Collins lead the team to victory in game number 2 and I hope will be our quarterback even when Young gets healthy.
Tomorrow, it has been thirty one years since Elvis passed away, here in the south this is a very solemn day to us. I refuse to work on the day Elvis was born or the day he died, when I have had to work on these days nothing good has come of it. I lost one job because I got in an accident on the day Elvis was born (Jan 8th) and I almost lost a good wife because I refused to go with her to the hospital on the day Elvis died (Aug 16th) you would of thought that the baby would of understood why I could not be there on the day he was born, and if he did not have a Yankee mother he would not of been born on the day that the King died, he would of waited until the 17th.
